Box of Moonlight

Vapor and lungs
Distilled horizon
Free from the chemical spill

The smoke in the air...
Safe as long as I see the world
From the windows outside...

I dreamed this weather the other day
Came back into my mind
Then out again...

Found the old and silver key
And buried it in the ground
Near the grave...

Upon the million shadows of centuries
Past and present…

Silhouettes within
Fairy tale illustrations;
Moonlight trapped inside
A tiny wooden box
Safely locked.

Never opened...

Found the old and silver key
And buried it in the ground;

I swore to the past
That I would haunt...

Until I found the reasons

Vapor and lungs
